How do you create a web site that EFFORTLESSLY produces value?

by Traffic Building Faculty

“For centuries there have been men whose quests have been to develop a machine that produces more energy than it consumes – a perpetual motion machine.”

The goal is to bring in at least two additional visitors for each one that visits your web site. If each visitor, by the mere act of visiting your page, causes additional visitors to arrive, your web site will be screaming with traffic in no time. It’s a simple concept, and quite easy to implement.

There are several tools you can use that are designed to help you drive qualified traffic to your web site. These include banner exchanges, link swaps, exit programs and safe lists – each of which we will go into detail on how to implement them effectively.

So where do you begin? First, you need to develop some content that is focused on your ultimate goal. Do you want to sell something? Do you want to build a mailing list that you can sell? Do you want to send traffic somewhere for a fee? Once you decide this you can begin to build you pages.

Here’s how we do it. We take our concept and then open up our word processor and begin writing. We don’t worry about pages and HTML, we just write down our thoughts and try to make the whole story a compelling read. We usually aim for five to ten pages of solid content. One advantage of using a word processor is that everything we produce is spell- and grammar-checked before it ever hits our web site.

Next, we take the finished document and divide it into logical chunks – sometimes by topic, other times simply by size. At the end and beginning of each chunk, we take a single thought and repeat it to give the site some continuity. Plus we try to make sure the start of each page summarizes the purpose of the site just in case a visitor arrives their first instead of our home page. While you can try to control how people enter your site, we find it better to just accept that they can enter anywhere, and your site should be written in such a way as they can figure out how to get back on the right path.

For each chunk, we craft a compelling title; select some appropriate keywords; and ensure that there are links at the top/bottom back to the main page, as well as, the next and previous pages. We usually design some sort of template for the page design and then simply cut/paste each chunk into it’s proper page, adding the title, keywords and continuity phrase to the header (i.e. META tags).

With the content of the site complete, we upload it to our web server and manually verify all of the links – usually two or three times since we do not plan on updating the content regularly. There are plenty of tools available that automate this tasks, but we prefer to do it ourselves to be 100% sure. All you need is one broken link and your program may never achieve its full potential.

Now comes the fun part. To get your “machine” started you can begin by adding several banner advertisements from exchange programs. Don’t go overboard, just add two or three programs.
