"In the short time that our site has been operating, the one request we've received repeatedly is 'how can I share my own successes?'," explained Illya D'Addezio, the sites chief architect. "For us this is part of a natural evolution we envisioned for the outpost -- to grow into more of a collaborative community."
In addition to the new features, a searchable database of recently expired domain names has been added. Appropriately dubbed the Domain Outpost, the database includes several hundred thousand names – many of which are still available for purchase.
"There's a lot more to an expired domain than just a name," added Illya. "Our new outpost explains (and guides) the process of checking the existing link popularity of domains – plus key directory listings like Yahoo!, LookSmart and DMOZ. Plus, we've expanded our library of helpful articles."
