Webmaster Outpost (www.webmasteroutpost.com) announced the release of slimmed-down version of its three-year-old site for Internet marketing advice. All of the strategic pieces and popular articles are still freely available, only with the new design the pages will load instantly, even for dial-up Internet users.
"Each year we ask our visitors what they would like to see done to the site," explained Illya D'Addezio, the sites chief architect. "This year the only feedback we got was 'lighten up the load', and that's an easy request to accommodate. Many of our pages are now under 10k, which is smaller than some of the banner ads!"
Included with the updated design is a new feature called the "Webmaster Toolkit" -- a collection of helpful free tools to help webmasters manage their websites. The feature covers "Browser Compatibility", "HTML Checking", "Graphic Shrinking", "META Tagging", "Link Checking, "Search Engine Positioning", "Link Popularity", "Keyword Density" and "Server Monitoring".
"I think our visitors are going to love the new toolkit," added Illya. "Not a day goes by that I'm not using one of them. By combining them onto a single page will make them all the more useful to my own team. Sharing them on the site will make them useful for others, and that's what the Webmaster Outpost is all about."
Several of the sites popular services will be unavailable for the new few weeks while they undergo a facelift, which will include getting a much improved interface for managing the information visitors contribute.
